Today is Saturday, so I’m with mom and the little sisters and Björn. We are going to a party because Björn’s mom is old and it’s her birthday today. It’s boring at Björn’s mother’s. There’s nothing to do there and everyone just stares at the little sisters and pats their soft cheeks, but then I hear someone whistling at me from the kitchen! It’s Björn’s sisters, the little sister’s aunts. What do they want? Suddenly, it’s not that boring anymore! A book about finding one’s place in a new family.

Ebba Forslind debuted in 2017 with the picturebook Jättejättebråttom (In a Big Big Hurry), which received great reviews and was nominated for the Elsa Beskow plaque 2018. Her images are easy to recognize and contrast well with her subtly humorous and poetic prose.
