Grandpa’s Garden

Ebba Forslind

My grandpa has a garden. It’s not so big really. But I can spend a whole day walking around in it. One day, it’s time for grandpa to move. It’s become a bit much with the cooking and cleaning and such. It’s even too much with the garden.
When Dahlia’s grandfather has to move into a retirement home, he has to leave his beloved garden. At the home everything is ugly and grey, no wonder grandpa keeps forgetting everything when he’s there. How is Dahlia going to help him to be able to grow things again?
Grandpa’s Garden is a loving depiction of the close friendship between a child and her grandfather who is slipping away from her.
