Castaway Fox

Frida Nilsson & Maria Nilsson Thore

The storm pulled her further away, past all the houses and factories. It pulled her past the rocks and islets that lay like elephant backs in the water, whipped by the waves. It pulled her out onto a black, endless swell where the foam crawled furiously across the surface.

Welcome to the Old Cement Harbor – a shabby but quite pleasant place on the outskirts of a big, big city. This is where Water Rat, Viran, Pinky and Rocky live in their sheds and boats – and of course the little fox cub Ofelia who stays with her mom in the yellow harbor office. This motley group of animals lead a carefree life – until one stormy night Ofelia drifts out at sea on one of the boats and is stranded on a desert island. How will the friends in the harbor ever be able to get her home again?

A humorous and warm adventure story about love and solidarity, but also about coming to terms with one’s own self – and our own roots in nature.

The first part of a series about the animals in the Old Cement Harbor.
