Anne is deeply bored during the winter. In her small industrial town, tucked away at the end of the highway, she laments the surrounding pollution, the lack of entertainment and the dark mornings.
One day, a gigantic statue is erected near her home to announce the coming of the Carnival of Steel, a modest winter festival that soon becomes a popular local tradition.
A kaleidoscope of memories, The Carnival of Oblivion is a story about collective memory, nostalgia and a young girl’s fascination with vanished mascots.
