They are all gathered there at the neighborhood park. On the bench with their legs dangling, maybe they are a little bored. So, when an accident happens, a little guy falls off his tricycle and scrapes his elbow, that little group of children starts off with one story after another, bigger and bigger, more and more imaginative: soaring fevers, hundreds of band-aids, hungry gorillas, scratching lions, excursions to the North Pole with sharks on their heels and ravenous white bears on the ice, burning buildings, flocks of locusts, snakes, bulls and a dozen hyenas. In increasing amusement, in one exaggeration after another, a handful of little boys and girls imagine themselves performing superhero feats. But perhaps it is not all imagination…
