The Big Bang takes place during one of the last evenings of summer vacation. Fifteen year old Werner rides in the backseat when his family’s car crashes into a herd of wild boar. His dad goes into a coma and his beloved dog Boye disappears without a trace.

Werner feels lost in life. Before the accident, he was a rather ordinary guy keeping up with the tough “locker room talk”, but now he begins to question his own role in the theatrics of school. His daily life with his mom and younger sisters is an absurd circus, his own thoughts circle around wild boar monsters and menacing forests. It all seems pointless.

Then, one day, Zadie hooks her stunningly beautiful arm around his. And life takes another unexpected turn.
