Cricket Karlsson is twelve years old and has soon survived the fi rst semester of sixth grade. The vicious horse girls are fortunately keeping busy staring at Scott, the P.E. sub. Which is baffling, since he has orange skin and strangely white teeth, and loves to look at himself in the mirror.

It’s soon Christmas break and this year something extraordinary is happening – Cricket’s whole family and best friend Nour are going to Spain. Cricket prepares by googling important facts about Spain, like if it’s legal to walk around in the nude. It turns out to be an eventful train ride through Europe, but on arrival catastrophe occurs – P.E. teacher Scott is also in Spain, and he wants to hang out with Cricket’s mom a bit too much…

Cricket Karlsson has taken readers with storm. The first book, Cricket Karlsson’s Secrets, was number one on Dagens Nyheter’s critic list and won the August Award for best children’s book in 2020.

Now Cricket is back, just as stubborn and funny as before!
