Lotta Geffenblad

Lotta Geffenblad is a Swedish illustrator, author, animator and director with a focus on film for children. Her breakout came in 2005, when she won the Bonnier Carlsen’s manuscript contest for her book Aston’s Stones. Since then, she has illustrated over 50 picture books and animated several films. She was awarded the Elsa Beskow Plaque in 2009 for her collection of works and was nominated for the August Prize for A Jungle Tale in 2024. Her subtle humour and strong sense for the child’s perspective lay the foundation for her storytelling.
