The Jury’s praise: Johan Rundbergs authorship deserves to be highlighted. He is phenomenal in creating characters that feel like people, their interactions and dialogues are on another level. Whether he writes about modern punk dreams or children at the bottom of society in 17th century Stockholm, he produces page turners impossible to resist. He writes with a big love for people and an understated sense of humour that peaks through in his work, and he is always one hundred percent loyal to the children he writes about and for.
