Not one voice, but the chorus of an entire continent that over time the overpowering West has exploited, burned, annihilated: from the first colonizers who came to Africa with the Bible, imposing their beliefs, followed by those who enslaved them and then granted them a fictitious independence.

Then, again, the exploitation of wealth, the financing of wars and weapons, hiding consciences behind the banner of cooperation. Reinforcing borders, locking up people in camps to keep the pressure off, amid general hypocrisy. And, having overcome a thousand obstacles, comes the West’s exploitation of labour for welfare.

Having nothing means not being able to lose anything and those voices will say it, as long as there is breath.
