In a long-forgotten village, next to a forest, there is a house with a window that is always open at night. A man and his cat live here, seemingly alone.

But the animals of the forest, distant and silent spectators during the day, come closer at night and enter through the lit window, bringing gifts from the forest. Then they wait, shy and patient, until the morning, when the man collects the gifts that they left behind, to carefully place them in a small building next to his house. With the arrival of winter, covering the roofs and trees in white, one night, the most magical night of the year, the man leaves his house to take the road to the forest, followed by the cat, his loyal companion. Curious pups come out of their dens, eager to play with the beautiful gifts that the man has built for them with the gifts from the forest.

Now it is time for the man to return home, next to the stove. Next to the large decorated fir tree that lights up an old faded sign above the door, which says: Toys
