Thin Ice

The class is on a field day, and Eddi is skating with his best friend Alex. They’re on the last lap around the lake when they catch up to slow Marit, who’s still on her first lap. They start shoving and pulling her. As “a joke”, Alex pushes her towards a patch of thinner ice, marked off by branches. Marit breaks through the ice, and Eddi and Alex quickly skate away. It’s a decision that has unexpected consequences.
