So, all I need now is a bit of real magic. Yes, you read that right. Real magic exists, whether you believe it or not. But one shouldn’t dabble in black magic. Even the name implies that. But I still do in this story, despite warnings. And see what happens…”

Jonna Björnstjerna both wrote and illustrated this funny and gripping tale about a young girl at a British boarding school and her experiences with love and friendship (and some black magic).

Björnstjerna is a Swedish  illustrator and author, currently living in London. She has attended the Comic Art School in Malmö and graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art in 2011.
Jonna was awarded the prize “Bokjuryn” in the category 0-6 years twice, in 2007 and in 2010.
