The Dark Ridge series

Tuvalisa Rangström & Anna Pers Bräcke

The UFO – Book 1

The village of Dark Ridge lies in the shadow of the Dark Ridge forest, which is a hotspot for the unexplainable. The villagers usually don’t think too much about the strange things that happen there, but sometimes it gets overwhelming and there are mutterings about burning down the forest. Nikki and her three friends Flora, Bastian, and Owl try to protect the people of Dark Ridge from the dangers of the forest and the forest from the people in the village. When a strange light phenomenon appears near Dark Ridge and more and more abandoned cars are found along route 270, Nikki and her friends realize they are on the trail of a new mystery. Shortly thereafter, an entire group of young children disappears from the village preschool. Something must be done quickly!

The Carnivorous Tree – Book 2

Daisy the dog has disappeared. One moment she was sniffing the air, the next she bolted, chasing after some mysterious scent. In Flora’s greenhouse, a bizarre flower with a taste for moths has just bloomed. And over the shadowy Dark Ridge Forest, vast swarms of bats gather in the night. Coincidence, or something far more sinister?

When an entire flock of sheep vanishes without a trace, Nikki, Flora, Bastian, and Owl know they can’t stand by any longer.

Prepare for a fast-paced adventure packed with roaring tractors, first crushes, and plants as deadly as they are fascinating.

The Carnivorous Tree is the second installment in the Dark Ridge series, set in a small village that’s a hotspot for the strange and the supernatural. Cinematic, witty, and vividly illustrated, the series draws on classic sci-fi traditions while remaining deeply rooted in the heart of the Swedish forest.
