Our Bloody History depicts the great divides of society during the 19th and 20th centuries, beginning in Paris during the French Revolution in 1793 when the guillotine ran hot, and the heads of the French nobility rolled. Read about the rough conditions in the cotton fields of the American South, child labor in the factories of industrialism or the sound of boots treading across Europe during World War II. You also get to learn more about the labor movement, the suffragettes’ fight for women’s right to vote in elections, and the dream of a new life on the other side of the ocean or the other side of the Berlin wall.

Exciting, adventurous, and crude stories are interspersed with gruesome facts about the events described. A time journey in eight episodes told from the child’s perspective, depicting what it might have been like to experience the real events that have today become our bloody history.
