Nan, Frankie and the Monster Expedition

Moni Nilsson & Anna Fiske

Finally Thursday! On Thursdays, Nan picks up Frankie from preschool. Nan is Frankie’s grandma and she is not afraid of anything. She is not like other old people who only talk about where they are in pain and what they are worried about. Besides, she knows all about wizardry. When Frankie tells her that he can’t go to Max’s sleepover party because he’s afraid of monsters at night, Nan replies, “You know, you can’t let your fears steal all the fun”. To see if monsters really do exist, Nan and Frankie set off on an expedition into the Monster Forest. Frankie is very scared, but also excited. What if they catch a real monster?

The first part of a series in which we meet Nan and her grandchildren. Part two, Nan, Tarzan and the Detective Expedition will be published summer 2023. Part three, Nan, Rose and the Family Expedition is planned for spring 2024.
