Emma Jansson’s Discover Nature series for age 3–6 is a bestseller in Sweden with more than 30,000 copies sold. Each book covers some of the Northern hemisphere’s most common species found in nature: trees – birds – fish – insects – berries and mushrooms – horses – farm animals – winter animals – and also includes some fun facts on each subject. A great, accessible introduction to the wonders of nature!

In the same series there are also four board books, and activity book and a board game.

Author and illustrator Emma Jansson uses a mix of techniques in order to create detailed and clever images. She draws the entire picture on paper in black pen, which she then scans. In Photoshop, she does the coloring, and cuts and pastes sheets of watercolor, marker and photos. In her free time, she likes to go bird watching, hike in the forest with her dogs, or go fishing.
