Ellen Karlsson is a Swedish author, children’s book editor and publisher. For her debut book String, the Bird and I, she was awarded the August Prize in 2013. She has written numerous praised books since then, all with a pitch-perfect child perspective.

Julia Hansson is a Swedish illustrator. She studied at Konstfack in Stockholm and Tama Art University in Tokyo. Her first picture book Billie and Bean at the Beach was nominated for the August Prize in 2020.
