Eternal Life – Can One Live Forever?
Angelica Öhrn & Cecilia Pettersson
When great-grandfather Gunnar passes away, it shakes her world. Questions swirl:
What really happens when someone dies?
Do we simply vanish? Or is there a paradise where we live on forever, like great-grandmother believes? Could science one day stop death altogether?
Eternal Life – Can One Live Forever? invites readers on a fascinating journey through history, belief systems, and cutting-edge science. From ancient Egyptian mummification rituals to modern cryonics labs in the US, where the deceased are frozen in hopes of future revival, this richly illustrated book explores humanity’s timeless yearning to conquer death.
Perfect for children who ponder life’s biggest questions, this book blends spiritual curiosity with scientific discovery, making it an ideal read for both classroom and family discussions.
Angelica Öhrn primarily writes for children and young adults. Her debut book, Anton and Teitur, was nominated for the Swedish Writers’ Union debut prize Slangbellan in 2018. She also has a background in nuclear physics, which gives her storytelling a unique perspective.
Cecilia Pettersson is a designer and illustrator with a degree from HDK (School of Design and Crafts) in Gothenburg. She works with both commercial commissions and public art installations, and teaches at various preparatory design programs while also leading her own courses and workshops.
