In Count With the Sea, crisply cut-out numbers in varying colors are combined with youthful illustrations of boats, swimmers, fish, and seashells. On certain spreads, the numbers are hidden behind punched-out compartments – and it’s up to the reader to find them!
Emilia Ilke (b. 1984) is an artist and stylist. She was educated at Gerlesborgs School. Count With the Sea is her first children’s book.
