The horses scrape their hooves on the ground, the acrobats are warming up, as the audience buzz. It’s circus time! This is a wordless board book for the youngest children, in which the artistic image is central. Each spread contains an act from the world of the circus – the magician who pulls a rabbit out of his hat, the tightrope walker who balances high up in the air, and the plume-bearing horses who trot in a circle.

One page of each spread features a more detailed and complex image, of which a detail is lifted out and displayed on the next page. The young child learns to recognise an object, and also to see it placed in a larger context. Rich, colorful and in hardwearing cardboard made to endure little fingers.
