Best Sad Friends is the fourth and last book about Noa and Mike, who are best friends forever and have the best first grade class in the world: 1-B. Noa and Mike like magic and laughing together. There’s no one who can make Noa laugh as much as Mike! When Noa’s best friend Mike tells him that his parents are getting a divorce, it stirs up many thoughts in Noa. Now it feels like there’s nothing to laugh about any longer, and nothing feels magical anymore. Noa really wants to make Mike happy again, but sometimes maybe you shouldn’t do anything, sometimes maybe you just need to feel sad.

Ellen Karlsson is a writer and editor. She received the August Prize for String, the Bird and Me and has written the books about the preschool “The Sea” and the Roj books for toddlers.

Karin Cyrén is an illustrator and author. She has written numerous picture books, and was awarded the Snöbollen Award for the best picture book of the year for Maraton.
