A Secret Cat

Lo wants to have a pet so badly, but she can’t have one. In the evening when the lights are off, there is a scratching sound from behind the wallpaper in Lo’s room.

– Guess my name, it purrs through the wall. And I will come to you.

Lo thinks for a moment.

– Silvering, she whispers.

Then it scratches a little hole in the wallpaper and crawls out. It’s a cat. A secret cat.
