360 degrees – A Skateboarding Story
Catherine David & Gabriel Lalande (Brothermerle)
Lou wanted a skateboard because everyone had a scooter. Her dream is to go to the Olympics and win a medal. In the meantime, she trains at the foot of Montreal’s Olympic Stadium, and it’s there that she meets Cheeseburger Nick, a quirky character who’s skated in every skatepark in the world.
As the two get to know each other and Nick recounts his skateboarding experiences, we learn all sorts of things about the world of skateboarding, the practices surrounding it from California to Japan, Cuba, Germany and Spain, as well as the stories of those who built its legend, their exploits, and the major historical events they lived through.
