The Truth According to Gunnar & Molly. Something Small and Fluffy

Tove Jonstoij & Tindra Jonsdotter

Best friends always tell the truth. Gunnar and Molly are best friends and they promised years ago never to lie to each other. But it’s not that easy. The Truth according to Gunnar & Molly are three short stories about everyday situations in the life of a child aged about 6-9.

In the first book, Something Small and Fluffy, Gunnar experiences that it’s sometimes very hard to tell the truth. Even to your mother. What, for instance, if you would really really like to have a small, fluffy pet? And what if your best friend happens to have kittens? And you just happen to say ”Yes!” when her family asks you if you want to have the cutest and smallest one, the one with blue eyes? The first book about Gunnar and Molly deals with questions about passion, truth and trying to set things straight.

The stories about Gunnar and Molly started out as a radio drama and animation project for children’s radio & television. The radio drama was finalist in New York Radio International Best Radio Award 2014 and the Prix Europa Best radio fiction, Berlin 2014.

Tove Jonstoij is a producer and writer for film and television, has worked as a journalist and with radio. Tindra Jonsdotter is an illustrator and student at The Nyckelviken Art School in Stockholm. When Tove and Tindra started this project together, Tindra was only 14 years old.
