The Paper Plant
The time at school almost stands still and when the day is over Edgar goes home with a wet hat. He writes in his book and draws maps. He collects seeds in jars and talks to himself. And suddenly it happens, a paper plant unfurls and grows wild and Edgar comes along.
Josefin Sundqvist’s debut is a story of exclusion and finding a place where one can think.
- Press voices
”Josefin Sunqvist has written a fantastically rich and poetic book with beautiful and tender illustrations, a book called “Pappersväxten”, which can be read by all ages. It touches with its melancholy and its longing for belonging, […] and it embraces with its assuring ending where imagination overrides reality in a healing gesture.” Tidningen Kulturen
