Siri Ahmed Backström, born in 1980, has studied illustration and graphic design at Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design. She lives in Stockholm, where she works as an illustrator and picture book author. She has written and illustrated several books, among which her own Syskondagen (Sibling Day) and Dom som är kvar (Those Who Are Left Behind), written by Karin Saler, winner of the Snöbollen prize for best Swedish picture book of 2014.
